Book Fair Success
Our Pandas enjoyed purchasing books at this week's book fair. There was a special visit from Clifford the Big Red Dog and a Pajama Story Time ith Mr. Cederbaum! Big thanks to Stephanie Paul, the PTA, and all the volunteers who helped to make this such a successful book fair.

Kindergarten Fun

SNOW Much Fun in Art!
Mrs. Dever-David's class made some wonderful snow people with Ms. Johnson in Art class this week!

Gifts of Kindness
Mrs. Resca's class wote about gifts they can give to others to show kindness! Mrs. Wright's class shared ways that they too can be kind! What thoughtful projects!

Winter Poetry
Ms. Wiese's class and Mrs. Feeney's class composed some great winter poems to deck the halls with!

Reindeer Research
Mrs. Capobianco's class learned all about reindeer, created a mural, and adorned it with TONS of reindeer facts!

This Little Light of Mine
Mrs. Cordeira's class and Mrs. Izzo's class both completed projects involving holiday lights! We have a festive set of menorahs and a beautiful array of "stained glass" art.

Wonderful Winter Writing
From Reindeer 'R' words in kindergarten, to gingerbread stories in first grade, to Chanukkah beginning-middle-end writing in second grade, there is LOTS of writing going on at Parkview!

Our PTA is Numero UNO
Thanks to Tom Brussard and our PTA for supplying our faculty with lunch from UNO's during parent/teacher confernces. The food was delicious and greatly appreciated!

Each week I will be including a story, article, piece of literature, or something else that ties in with our theme of "Choose Kind" this year. By working together as a team, we can mold our students into people of kindness and empathy. This week I have chosen to highlight a piece of children's literature: I Walk With Vanessa by Kerascoët. Inspired by real events and told only in pictures, this is an empowering picture book from a New York Times bestselling husband-and-wife team about one girl who inspires a community to stand up to bullying.
