More Smiles!
I forgot to include the video clips from World Smile Day in last week's post! Enjoy our Pandas singing at our assemblies and even on the bus home from their field trip!

Apple Day!
Several first grade classes celebrated fall with a day filled with apple activities! Apple math, apple coloring, and making applesauce! Everyone had a "bushel" of fun!

Place Value Beans!
Second grade students worked collaboratively to sort and count some magic beans by ones, tens, and hundreds!

Sensory Surprises!
Miss Donna's class each received an item from the sensory box and had to explain and describe to their classmates what the items felt like. They used some great adjectives like soft, squishy, crinkly, and prickly.

Quack, Quack......D is for Duck!
Miss Erica's class did a fantastic job making their duck hats this week to go along with the letter D!

PAWS-itive Referrals!
We recognized several more students this week for their PAWS-itive behavior, kind demeanor, willingness to help, and compassion towards others!

3...2...1...Blastoff!
Mrs. Capoianco's class began their study of how air can move objects. To prove this principle, students worked in pairs to create a rocket using a balloon, straw, and tape that would travel along a string thanks to the power of AIR! Students designed (and redesigned) their creations to achieve successful launches. They then completed a lab sheet to explain their experiment and their understanding of the concept.

Indoor Recess Rocks!
A little rain can't keep us down! We enjoyed indoor recess since we couldn't get outside because of the dreary weather!

Pumpkin Exploration!
Mrs. Reese's class worked in small groups to investigate and explore pumpkins! Measuring, weighing, estimating, and counting the MANY seeds inside!
