Happy Memorial Day
I hope everyone enjoyed the long holiday weekend! This week our students performed several songs and poems during our annual Memorial Day Program. Thank you to the many families who came to watch us honor those that have given their lives for our freedom.
Red Noses in Preschool
Miss Erica's class and I celebrated Red Nose Day this week!
PAWS-itive Referrals
Even though our year is coming to an end, we still have MANY students showing off their exceptional behavior! Way to go Pandas!
Preschool Visits Sheep Pasture
Miss Erica's and Miss Donna's classes explored Sheep Pasture this week and had a great time!
PMC Luncheon
Bobby and Louis won lunch with Mr. C. at the PMC ride! We ordered out and had a great lunch together! Thanks for the great company boys!
A Greasy Experiment
Mrs. Capobianco's students used classic Lay's chips and Baked Lay's to investigate which one was healthier. They were surprised to see just how much grease and oil were in the original chips.
1/2 Day Kindergarten Enjoys Lunch
Our half day kindergarten students were able to stay at school to enjoy lunch and recess one day this week! They enjoyed it and even had the cleanest table at the end of lunch!
Weeding and Reading
Mrs. Feeney's ad Ms. Murray's classes welcomed their buddies from Easton Middle School for a day of Weeding and Reading. Everyone had a GREAT day!
DANCE PARTY!
Mrs. Wallace's class won a dance party with Mr. C. and they got the chance to show off their moves earlier this week! We had a blast doing lots of different dances!
Butterfly Life
Kindergarteners have been studying the life cycle of the butterfly. This week, many of their chrysalises hatched into beautiful butterflies!
Community Meeting
Our last Community Meeting of the year took place this week. We heard from Jessica Block, Children's Librarian from the Ames Free Library, about this year's summer reading program. We also discussed what PANDAS do after a year of hard work. Finally we handed out our Box Top trophy to Ms. Wiese's class and our Proud Panda awards for CITIZENSHIP.
Second Grade Breakfast
Calling all second grade parents! To celebrate your child's years at Parkview, parents are invited to put together an End of Year breakfast for their child's class from 9:30 - 10:00 on June 13.
