2/3/19 - Superbowl Edition

GO PATRIOTS - SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS!!

ZuZu Acrobats
Students were awed and amazed by the ZuZu acrobats from Kenya! They jumped, flipped, and scaled to heights way above the crowd! They even got some students (and teachers) involved in the fun!

Community Meeting
We gathered this week to wrap up our first month of 2019! We reviewed our January trait of INCLUSIVITY and introduced our February trait of CARING. We handed out our Proud Panda Awards and this month's box top trophy went to Mrs. Capobianco's class with 306 box tops! Second graders shared what they have been working on this month. We heard some great cinquain poems and LOTS of animal research facts!

Pennies for Patients
To kick our our month of CARING we will be partnering with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to raise money for cancer research. Students were asked to complete acts of kindness to show that they CARE to earn money for this fundraiser. Our school goal for this fundraiser is $1,000.

Joyful Noise from Second Grade
Students in Ms. Ventre's and Ms. Wiese's classes have been working hard in Chorus each week since September. They performed for students and their families this week and sounded AMAZING! Thanks to Mr. Sandberg for his efforts to make this such a wonderful concert!

PAWS-itve Referrals
These students all earned PAWS-itive referrals for their great choices! Keep up the great work!

In the Holiday Spirit
We wore our finest Patriots gear, and some even "tailgated" for lunch on Friday. In addition to showing off our Patriot spirit again this week, students had the opportunity to create a unique craft. Each student created a Super Bowl Groundhog. They predicted who would win the big game and whether or not the groundhog would see his shadow or not. The halls were filled with some SUPER groundhogs! Great jog boys and girls!
