First Grade Parents Get Acquainted!
Our first grade teachers welcomed parents this week to tell them all about their child's class and all the fun they're going to have this year!

Our First Fire Drill!
We started off the week with our first fire drill of the year. Everyone did an excellent job leaving the building quickly and quietly!

PAWS-itive Referrals ROCK!
Our first batch of PAWS-itive referrals are in. These students are excellent role models and have demonstrated exceptional expected behavior. Keep up the great work!

Welcome Mr. Agostinelli!
Our new music teacher Mr. A. is doing a great job with our Pandas. They all took turns creating a beat on the drum and singing along together to the player's beat. Well don boys and girls!

Preschool Fun!
Preschool Pandas are off to a great start this year! Working on numbers, coloring, doing the limbo, puzzles, and keeping rhythm are just some of the great things happening this week!

Kindergarten Centers!
Our Kindergarteners continue to impress with their great center this week!

Pandas, How Does Your Garden Grow?
Students worked hard during recess this week to weed, water, and tend to our school garden. We have pumpkins and cantaloupes growing well right now!

All About Me & Chalk Time!
Mrs. Wright's class shared their All About Me posters with their classmates this week. I also spent some time outside with them as they explored with chalk. I loved seeing their creativity and ability to work together as a team. My favorite was the life size tic-tac-toe game that was played with human Xs and Os. Way to go boys and girls!

Second Grade Centers!
Ms. Wiese's and Ms. Ventre's classes rotated through a variety of center activities this week. Everyone did a great job and had fun!

Reading Buddies Begin!
Reading is an ADVENTURE and Mrs. Izzo's class joined together with Ms. Wiese's class for their first meeting of Reading Buddies this year! What an awesome partnership!

Camp & Read Day a Success!
Mrs. Eaton's class earned a Camp and Read Day! They setup tents, got cozy by the (virtual) fire, and did LOTS of reading!

PTA News
Our Direct Giving Campaign is well underway! We are at $4,800 and trying to reach $8,000 by Family Fun Day on October 20. If we can reach our goal, Mr. C. will be in the dunk tank! Also, keep those Box Tops coming in. WE are accepting both the clipped box tops as well as those scanned into the NEW box tops app! If we reach $300 (3000 box tops) we have a school wide Pajama Day!

School Building Project
We are in the midst of a building project with MSBA. We are looking to build a combined PreK-2 school on the Parkview site. We have some very important votes coming up and hope to see you there.
