Arrrr, I Spy Some Parkview Pirates!
International Talk Like A Pirate Day was a success at Parkview! Our Pandas transformed into pirates for the day and fun was had by all! Pirate themed activities, jokes, stories, crafts, costumes, songs, and treasure hunts ruled the day!

Preschool Fun
Miss Lindsay's students worked on "B" this week and created some great school Buses and traced the letter B on the board with different colored Buses! Miss Erica's class did some great acorn painting as well as some hammering practice! I thoroughly enjoyed being in Miss Donna's class for some mindfulness and meditation time!

Library Love!
I caught Mrs. Izzo's class exploring the library this week! They were looking through the collection, choosing good books, and settling in to read their picks!

PAWS-itive Referrals!
Our Wall of Fame continues to grow. This week we added 8 more students who Chose Kind in a variety of ways. Cheering up sad classmates, helping teachers, and being a positive role model are just some of the things these Pandas were doing! Keep it up boys and girls! I'm so proud of you!

More Self Portraits!
Mrs. Cordeira's and Mrs. Izzo's students painted self portraits this week to show off their unique personalities! They did an awesome job!

A Rainbow of ME!
Mrs. Wright's class created rainbows of their "favorites" and added some great self portraits to accompany their work!

Bucket Filling Pros!
Mrs. Hill's students wrote and illustrated ways to be bucket fillers! They came up with lots of great ideas!

Space Week!
Second graders spent this week learning all about space! Mrs. Capobianco's students wrote about going to Space Camp. Mrs. Eaton's class did out of this word work as they wrote the main idea and supporting details from their space story.

3-2-1 BLAST OFF!
As a culminating space week activity, I joined Mrs. Capobianco's class as they "launched" their own rockets! Students did a great job creating their rockets, launching them, and then writing about their observations once the launch was completed!

Tales of Summer!
Mrs. Wiese's students wrote about their summer adventures and illustrated them on a t-shirt!

Apples, Apples, Apples!
Fall is upon us, which means: APPLES! Apple activities have begun! We'll even have a special visitor in the building next week. Keep your eyes open for our special guest!

PTA News!
Keep those Box Tops coming in! We are slowly getting closer to our school-wide goal! I wonder who will win the trophy at next week's Community Meeting for having the most box tops for the month of September?

Our Direct Giving Campaign is in full swing and we are well on our way to our $5,000 goal! If you want to dunk Mr. C. at Family Fun Day, keep those donations coming!
